People always say sending cards in the mail is so old-fashioned. Maybe that's exactly why I like doing it. Everyone on the East Coast says, oh, it's so Midwestern and nice. I say, um, it's called having manners. Growing up, we got a scolding if we didn't have our thank-yous for Christmas gifts finished by new year's. So I love having a stash not only of monogrammed notecards, but also some quirky thank-you cards, like these from Kate Spade:

Now if I could only find some stamps...
