do they allow dogs in churches?

Hi, my name is Barclay, and I'm addicted to wedding blogs. I have about 20 of them on my google reader, and they're the greatest thing ever for getting creative ideas for your wedding. Like this post from Something Old, Something New.

We want to include our dog in our wedding ceremony (yes, we're those crazy people) and -- while our dog is not a dachsund -- she is small and hyperactive enough that the only way we would trust her to carry the rings down the aisle would be to strap them to her with a genius contraption like this pillow. Now the real question is, will the parents of the ringbearer be insulted if we ask if our dog can accompany their son down the aisle? Le sigh.
