i heart skype.
if you've never heard of skype, you probably will soon. even oprah uses skype on her show, which means my grandma probably knows what it is! it's a genius program that uses computer cameras (like the built-in ones on mac laptops) to let you have a virtual conversation with anyone, anywhere - for FREE! it looks sort of like this on your computer screen when you talk to someone:minus the dorky-looking headset, of course (gotta love macbook's built-in camera and speakers). last night i talked to shift for a good 30 minutes and put the computer on the floor so she could see the dog...shift barked at the dog, and the dog barked back...good times all around.
